Today's challenge is to depict what Edvard Munch's The Scream is actually screaming at. What fun!
I was initially thinking something like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man or even Godzilla. But then I saw my friend Jun's simply brilliant rendition along those lines, and obviously a change of plan was required. So I went with Kanye.
I'm not usually one for having a go at somebody on this blog. But Kanye is different. Because he's a douchebag with no talent. There, I said it.
This was a fun challenge to do. I've never really had much interest in Munch's work, as it's generally not my cup of tea. But a friend of mine told me that Munch is and was important because, thought he was Norwegian, his work is considered a precursor to German Expressionism. So there you have it, a little art history lesson for you.
And lets keep the video links going shall we? I'm obviously not going to link to anything by Kanye (because he's still a douchebag with not talent, that hasn't changed), but here is some music I love...
The wave of sound at 1:15... lush.
Just one of many piece of music by Jeremy's Soule's I adore.
My all-time favourite song, by Aussie band Powderfinger
From one Edvard to another, Grieg at his best.
QOTSA are about as heavy as I dare go.
and one for Donal and Ruth...
Back tomorrow for my take on another TV show I've never heard of! And here's all of today's entries, as usual.
